1.  It makes me smile when I see other Boxers...This one looked exactly like my parents' Otis.  The kids insisted I take a pic!

2.  Thomas' hat collection now includes his dads' Alma mater, Mt. Si High School, where his cousins currently attend. 

3.  My hubby forgot he needed to connect to Wifi the entire time he was in Arkansas.  Seriously??  Already out of data and the month isn't even half over.

4.  While dad is away she's been sneaking into his spot in the middle of the night!!  So precious when she sleeps.

5.  It is finally jeans, flannel and converse weather!!!

7.  These two were ACTUALLY getting along at dinner before we headed to pick up dad from the airport.  I wish I could say it lasted longer than a night, but sadly no.

9.  Guess who still loves coloring???  Found a new book at Costco that just happened to jump in my cart.

The Moore family is on the move again.  This time...

Oklahoma!!!

My hubby got a new job and it is taking us on a new adventure.  Oklahoma to be exact!!  My heart is very heavy!!  I never dreamt when we moved to Colorado that I would love it as much as I do.  I remember the day we arrived here and the tears...oh the tears!!  I cried for days!  Mostly because I missed my family, but also because I didn't know a single person and wasn't sure I ever would. 

Well...

That couldn't have been further from the truth!!  I (along with my kids) have made amazing friends and have loved our time in Colorado.  It definitely gives me hope for this next chapter.  I'm not sure Oklahoma is where we want to hang our hats permanently, but hey...I would have said the same thing about Colorado 3 1/2 years ago, so you never know.

1.  I found a cute candy shop at the mall last weekend, Lolli and Pops, couldn't resist filling up this cute (albeit PRICEY) container with lots of yummy, gummy candy!!

2.  Oh and I had to buy this drink from there too, because the bottle was CUTE!!!!  It was delicious, so that was a bonus!

3.  These four trying to make the best of a 2 hour football practice for their older brothers.  My two girls and my friends two boys...pig pile in the shade tent!

4.  Guess who started Pre-K last week??  She was so excited to have a new backpack!!!  Not the least bit loud and obnoxious!!

6.  I had a garage sale on Saturday and I'm pretty sure my girls made more money at their lemonade stand than I did.  Oh well, at least I purged my house!!!

7.  Taco Bell with my middle!!  I love when I get to hang with her one on one!

8.  League community event yesterday with Thomas' football team...Feed My Starving Children...If you ever get the chance to do it...DO IT!!  It is fun and a great cause!  As they said...The BEST fun you'll have while wearing a hairnet!

9.  As I type this...I'm sitting in the mess that is pictured.  New carpets are being installed in my craftroom and the upstairs.

1.  Fall decorations make me happy and Hobby Lobby has a ton!

2.  Popsicles are our favorite...pineapple for me, raspberry for her!

3.  Halloween decorations make me UBER HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!

4.  My sis was in town for and the first night she was here we got to sneak away for girls night, movie and then dinner/drinks!  Margarita?  Why yes!!!

5.  Beers in the car before the Eric Church concert. 

6.  The concert was Amazing!!!

7.  First day of school for the big kids, but little sis had to jump in for a pic too!

8.  My sis couldn't leave town without hitting up a good restaurant and bonus...so much more peaceful without Thomas and Taylor.

9.  I couldn't decide what to eat...so I ordered two things.  Under all that strawberry and whipped cream goodness is a giant, buttery biscuit.  SO DELISH!!!!!!!

1.  It's been hot around here (not AZ hot, but hot enough), so we've been hitting up 7eleven for slurpees frequently.  Best flavor... BANANA!!! Don't knock it til you try it!

2.  Obsession number 2... Cinnamon Sugar Pita Chips.  I could eat a whole bag in one sitting if I let myself, but I don't!  I do however keep them in my craftroom, hidden from my family!

3.  When my parents were in town my mom and I went shopping and found this place called Drizzle 'n Dip.  Olive Oils and Balsamic Vinegars for days...  She bought me these two olive oils and we love them.  Sadly they are almost gone and I will need to go get more.  Basil Infused and Garlic Infused...  YUMMY!!!

4.  Did you have a pen pal as a kid... I didn't, but I wish I did.  Taylor became friends with the girl that lives next door to my parents and they have been sending each other letters.  So cute!!

5.  When we drove up to the Rocky Mountain National Park there was a little shop on the side of the road selling all kinds of jams and cherry flavored items.  I couldn't resist these cherry gummy bears and thought this peach rum jam looked good.  DELICIOUS!!

6.  We've hit the local waterpark quite a few times the last few weeks.  The kids play and I relax!!

7.  We went berry picking last week.  I had hoped to pick black raspberries, but by the time we got there they had all been picked, so we picked pie cherries instead. 

8.  6 cups of pie cherries all pitted and ready for a cobbler.

I Should Get Points For Trying

The thing about being a mom (I've learned) is that I rarely get credit for trying.  I SHOULD though.  I mean it sometimes feels like Ground Hogs Day in my world.  I get up and think to myself...today we will do this and unlike the time before it will be great.

I only needed 4 good ones and that's about what I got, complete with semi-fake smiles all around.  Do you think they are thinking..."Here she goes again, trying to get us to look like we like each other."

The Highlights

Well I know it has been since well before summer started that I last checked in, but I guess it's just how it goes for me lately.

Anyhoo...

Here's what's happened since I last checked in...

Disney World for my parents 40th Wedding Anniversary

Finishing 4th, 2nd and 1st year of preschool

Baseball wrapped up, football started

Dance recital

Taylor went to AZ by herself

My parents came for a visit

My hubby's dad and step-mom came for a visit

Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park

Thomas went to AZ by himself (he's still there)

I am sure there are some things I left off, but those have been the highlights.   I can't believe summer is almost over, but I am not even going to pretend to be SUPER sad about that.  The only time my kids are NOT fighting is when they are all in separate places.  Like this very moment for instance...Thomas is in AZ, Taylor is in her room and Tatum is at summer school.  It's quiet and I can actually hear myself think.

Now that I have you caught up on what's been happening in the Moore house, I'll post pics.  Because I know that's what you really want to see anyway.

40 Years of wedded bliss!! 

Last Day of school for these fools.  I now have a 5th grader, 3rd grader and a little Pre-K

It is now a toss up as to which sport I prefer to watch Thomas play.  And if I'm being honest baseball may have taken the top spot.  I was sad to see the season end.

Tatum was all about those sparklers despite her facial expression in this pic.  She probably had us light 100 sparklers for her!

My hubby's dad and step-mom took ALL 3 kids for a night in the 5th wheel.  I'd love to tell you that we had a fun date day/night while they were away, but we really just binge watched Mr. Robot!!  It was mighty nice to have a quiet house though!!

1.  Worst driver EVER...good thing you won't be seeing her on the road independently anytime soon!

2.  With her saved birthday $$$ she bought herself a pretty new doll...Her name is Jodie!! 

3.  This kid...begged me to take him and his friend to Starbucks for a Strawberry Acai...seriously...no words!

4.  Just licking the spatula after making cupcakes...best part of baking is licking the spatula!!

6.  If you aren't quite sure what you are looking at...well it was a torrential downpour and my family wouldn't come out of the restaurant to get in the car. 

7.  My painting clothes...Have I mentioned I love to paint?  Well I do and these clothes bare the messiness from every project!

8.  Baseball season has come to an end, but I'm already looking forward to next season.  I loved watching Thomas play (even if his team had a LOSING season).

9.  Tatum wasn't to interested in watching Thomas' last games...she was however interested in listening to music. Christmas music to be exact!

1.  New Converse for our Disney World trip... 3 days and counting!!

2.  We tried out Door to Door Organics and this was my second delivery...a little pricey, so I'm not sure I'll keep doing it.  Great idea though!!!  Love just opening my front door to my produce in a box.

3.  Our new favorite restaurant... The Chicken Shack!!!!!!  BEST chicken strips I've ever had!!

4.  Another new pair of shoes!!  My sister thinks I've gone off the deep end with all the shopping I have been doing lately!!

5.  This guy was up for auction at the Ducks Unlimited Banquet my hubby and I went to last week...he went home for the low price of $1400!!!

6.  Got my gardening on...planted to pots of pretty flowers...let's see if I can keep them alive for a while.

7.  Can you tell what this is a picture of??  That's my Taylor in the window of a store pretending to be a mannequin.  I wish you could zoom in...her face is hilarious!!

8.  There were some gnarly clouds at baseball on Sunday.

9.  The kids weren't feeling super great on Mother's Day, so my hubby fixed us tacos...and that was OK with me.  My obsession with avocado continues...they are delicious on tacos!!!!!

Two Months (Part 3)

Besides all of the house projects we've been tackling the last two months, we have been carting all 3 kids to and from baseball, soccer and dance.  It's been busy, but when the weather has cooperated it's been pretty fun!!


Unfortunately Tatum never got to play in a game this season because of the weather.  She had a few practices though and loved every minute.  Fall weather in CO isn't as schizophrenic as the spring, so she should get to play a lot more then!!

Must stop for water break!!

My Taylor on the other hand...well her season was a bit messed up because of weather also, but not nearly as bad as her sisters.  She scored a goal in her first game and her last game.  This was her season playing on an all girls team against ALL girl teams.  It was so fun to watch her this season.   I'm not positive, but I think she had way more fun too!!  But with her you never know...so ask her when you see her! LOL

And Thomas...well I know if you asked him he would still tell you that football is his favorite sport, but between you and me...I think baseball might be more his thing.

He plays first base and he pitches just about every other game.  Just like football though...he throws me a thumbs up when he strikes someone out or he gets a hit.  I'm not a professional baseball fan like I am a football fan, but I could watch Thomas play baseball all day long. 

 

I'm not sure this slide was necessary, but he likes to put on a show for everyone!

Soccer is over until fall, but baseball will take us through June almost and then we get ready for another season of football and soccer.  Their activities are what make my years go by...but I love it!!
